About the event

With the Russian attack on Ukraine, a scenario occurred that many would no longer have thought possible: an interstate war on the European continent. All of a sudden, the geopolitical reality changed, which could be felt far beyond the continent. At the 17th FSS Security Talk, international and national experts will present and categorise the current state of security policy and the long-term consequences that are emerging after two years of war.

We will be welcoming top-class international and national guests as keynote speakers:

  • Major General Thomas Starlinger, Military Representative of Austria to the European Union and NATO
  • Dr. Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy

The subsequent panel discussion will be held by:

  • Major General Thomas Starlinger, Military Representative of Austria to the European Union and NATO
  • Dr. Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy
  • Dr. Urs Loher, Director, Federal Armaments Office armasuisse
  • Dr. Marcel Berni, Lecturer Strategic Studies ad interim, Military Academy (MILAK) at ETH Zurich
  • Dr. Wolfram Kuoni, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ferrexpo AG

More information on the event can be found in the detailed program.
