About the event
Drone technology has rapidly evolved in recent years and drones are now indispensable in both the military and civilian sectors. They enhance modern armed forces' reconnaissance and operational capabilities, increase security through precise surveillance, and open up new possibilities in areas such as logistics, disaster relief, and mobility. In Switzerland and around the world, the drone industry is growing with innovative technologies that have the potential to revolutionize both defense and civilian applications. But how can the full potential of these technologies be harnessed?
In particular, collaboration between the Swiss government, especially the DDPS, and the growing drone industry offers opportunities for strategic advancement. The question is no longer whether drones will play a key role but how their integration into existing security and defense concepts can be optimally designed. At the same time, clear legal frameworks are needed to promote innovation while preventing misuse.
At the 21st SSF Security Talk, experts from Switzerland and abroad will analyse and classify the latest developments.
