26. SSF Security Talk | Resilience from Space
The 26th SSF Security Talk of the Swiss Security Forum focused on the growing importance of space for civil and military use and the challenges that come with it.
The event made it clear that space-based systems are now a key part of modern countries' infrastructure and will become even more important for governments, businesses, and science in the years to come. For Switzerland, this means it needs to keep working closely with international partners, especially in Europe, while also building up its own skills in research, industry, and security applications.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all of the approximately 110 participants and especially to our experts:
-
Major General Michael Traut, Commander of the German Armed Forces Space Command
-
Oberst i Gst Ludovic Monnerat, Commander, Space Competence Centre, Swiss Armed Forces
-
Renato Krpoun, Head of Space Division, State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation
-
Franz Posch, Managing Director, Airbus Defence and Space Switzerland
-
Didier Manzoni, Deputy CEO & General Manager Space, APCO Technologies SA
