About the event
With the Russian attack on Ukraine, something happened that many would no longer have thought possible: an interstate war on the European continent. In one fell swoop, the geopolitical reality changed, which was felt far beyond the continent. Western sanctions did not have the desired effect. Russia is not isolated internationally, but enjoys the support of other major powers. This alliance is increasingly challenging the existing rules-based world order. At the 17th FSS Security Talk, international and national experts will highlight the causes of these developments, classify the current security policy situation and analyze the latest geopolitical developments.
We will be welcoming top-class international and national guests as keynote speakers:
- Major General Thomas Starlinger, Military Representative of Austria to the European Union and NATO
- Dr. Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy
The subsequent panel discussion will be held by:
- Major General Thomas Starlinger, Military Representative of Austria to the European Union and NATO
- Dr. Markus Mäder, State Secretary for Security Policy
- Dr. Urs Loher, Director, Federal Armaments Office armasuisse
- Dr. Marcel Berni, Lecturer Strategic Studies ad interim, Military Academy (MILAK) at ETH Zurich
- Dr. Wolfram Kuoni, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ferrexpo AG
More information on the event can be found in the detailed program.
